Adjusting and attaching track lighting

This set consists of 2 x 75 cm tracks including one connector block, two end caps, 1 x l-connector and fixing materials. The GU10 light source can be ordered separately. If you wish to create a U-shape track, order at least one additional track and two 90-degree connectors. To create a T-shape, you will need to order one additional track, one end cap and one T-connector. The aluminium track can be fully customized using a hacksaw and mitre box. The track has pre-drilled holes for easy assembly. Additional holes can be drilled if necessary.

If the power connection is in the middle, you can order the two-sided connection block and an additional end cap separately. Please note that the track has a width of 3.4 cm. If the centre box in the ceiling is wider than the size of the track, choose a square cover plate for a clean finish.

Choosing the right GU10 light source 

The track lights are supplied without a GU10 light source. This way, you can choose exactly the right bulb to fit your unique lighting design. You can choose a bulb with a narrow light angle, where you can shine the light to a specific point in the room, such as an art object on the wall or the counter top in the kitchen. If you wish to distribute the light more centrally, choose a wider light angle. We have the following options below:

• 2700K GU10 bulbs: Warm white light colour, suitable for the living room, kitchen and bedroom.
• 4000K GU10 bulbs: White light colour, suitable for spaces where good visibility is important, such as offices and conference rooms.
• Dim-to-warm GU10 bulbs: With these bulbs, in addition to the light's intensity, the light colour also changes from 2700K (warm white) to 2200K (extra warm white/candlelight). This allows you to adjust the light effect. The extra warm white light is suitable for when you want to create a cosy ambience, while the warm white colour can also be functional for reading a book.
• Smart GU10 bulbs: With these bulbs, you can control the lighting with your smartphone. The app is free and is called 'Smart Life'. The app works on Android, iOS and is also compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Through the app, you can determine the colour, light intensity and dim the spot.

The difference between a 1-phase and 3-phase track system

With a 1-phase track lighting system, all track lights are connected to one group, making the track more refined and suitable for consumer use. A 3-phase track system is more often used in stores and other business spaces. This track is heavier and the track lights can be switched on and off separately in three groups. You can also switch spots on and off separately with the 1-phase track if you use the smart GU10 bulbs.
