Modern black downlight IP44 - Ray

This recessed spot instantly gives your indoor and outdoor spaces a modern look. The sturdy black edge makes the Ray look tough, but also elegant. The wide rim is perfect for covering a larger area, while the recessed dimensions remain small. This way the Ray can be installed in many places.

Technical aspects

The Ray has a diameter of 84 millimeters. With an installation diameter of only 65 millimeters and a depth of only 27 millimeters, the Rex takes up little space. The recessed spot comes with friction springs. This makes it easy to clamp the Rex to the ceiling.

The recessed spot has an IP44 protection rating and is waterproof. This makes it suitable for use in the bathroom or outside in the garden, but it is also perfect for use inside the house.

Downlight with GU10 fitting

The Ray has a GU10 fitting and can handle up to 50 watts (light source not included). Depending on the chosen light source, the recessed spot is dimmable by means of an external dimmer (not included). Are you looking for a dimmer? Then take a look at our wall dimmers.

For the GU10 light sources, you can choose from:

• 2700K GU10 lamps: Warm white light color, suitable for atmospheric catering establishments, the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms.
• 4000K GU10 lamps: White light color, suitable for areas where good visibility is important, such as offices and conference rooms.
• Dim-to-warm GU10 lamps: With these lamps, the light color changes from 2700K (warm white) to 2200K (extra warm white/candlelight). This way you are flexible in the light effect. The extra warm white light fits well when you want to create a cozy atmosphere, and the warm white color can also be functional when reading a book, for example.
  
• Slim GU10 lamps: A smart lamp that you can control with your smartphone. The app is free and is called 'Smart Life'. The app works on Android, iOS and is also compatible with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Through the app, you can determine the color and brightness of the spotlight and have the spotlight dimmed.
